Westgate mall in New York City has been closed for nearly three weeks due to Hurricane Sandy, which has devastated much of the city.
The mall, which opened in 1989, is one of the largest shopping centers in the United States.
The mall reopened on Saturday after being closed for more than three weeks.
The storm has also damaged much of New York’s public transportation system.
The city is considering whether to reopening the mall or demolishing the buildings, CNN affiliate NY1 reported.
The storm has left some residents without power and prompted authorities to temporarily shut down the mall.
CNN reports that New York Gov.
Andrew Cuomo said Sunday that it will be a matter of days before people return to normal.
