In case you haven’t been following along, I’m a basement renovation geek.
I’ve built up a basement that is not as grand as I’d like and it was all done with my own hands.
I started by making a plan to renovate my home.
I looked into the various options and narrowed it down to two basement renovations I’d definitely want to do: a kitchen renovation and a basement restoration.
So here’s the deal: If you’re going to have a basement, you’ll want to look at the kitchen renovation.
You’ll want a modern kitchen that you can put up on the second floor and have someplace for your kitchen equipment.
This is especially important for younger people who may not have a place to store their equipment.
If the basement renovation is going to be a big undertaking, the kitchen should be a priority.
If you want to keep things in the home as it is, you may need to cut down on the amount of furniture you put up, so make sure you’re able to make a good decision about what you want the kitchen to look like.
A remodel kitchen, by the way, is one that includes a new counter, countertop, and appliances, all of which are made in-house.
You can see a video of me making the renovation here.
Another good kitchen renovation is to add a larger dining area and add in a table for your guests.
This can include a full-size counter and countertop to add to the living room.
You’ll want the space for seating too.
If the dining area is too small, you can just move the tables to the second-floor.
When it comes to a basement remodel, you might want to consider adding a large porch that can be used for entertaining.
This will provide an open area for the kids and for you to entertain them.
Finally, there are some great basement renovation tips.
If your basement is being renovated, consider using a new floor plan and plan your home accordingly.
