Updated September 20, 2018 09:10:15 Penn Station renovation is expected to come back to the forefront again this summer when a new alfao renovation is scheduled for completion this summer.
The renovation will take up about 30,000 square feet of Penn Station space, a third of the total that was previously used to house the renovation of the PENN station.
The renovations will be made by the same team that completed the renovations of the Lincoln Memorial in 2014 and 2016.
Penn Station’s new coat of paint will be completed by October 2019, and the station will be fully reconfigured.
The renovations will take about 15 months to complete.
The PENN renovation will cost about $7 million and will include the installation of new elevators and escalators, new restrooms, a new roof, and new lighting.
The Penn Station renovations were completed in conjunction with the PEN Center, a nonprofit that has been working on the renovation since 2011.
Penn Station renovation architect Bob Hensley said the PENS Center has received a tremendous amount of interest from private and public investors and is hoping to open in late 2019.
“The PENS is a very successful nonprofit that is trying to rebuild Penn Station,” he said.
“We’re excited to be a part of it.”
The renovation of Penn Stadium was originally planned to be completed in 2020 but has been delayed because of a series of weather-related issues.
